My family and I visit the National Capitol Trolley Museum in Silver Spring, Maryland. In Part One, I do a walkaround of a trolley they purchased from Toronto, Ontario, and film part of the ride.

TTC 4603 is on its inbound trip approaches Treeline switch, and then it approaching the NCTM visitor center from its revenue trip.

#13 trolleys have slid to a halt going up the hill eastbound at 43rd and Chester in West Philadelphia. The drivers solve the problem by backing up and making some speed over the rails they have already sanded. This brings the trolley all the way up the hill. Even so, there are some spectacular sparks from the iced wire.

TTC 4603 is backing up from the car barn to go to the NCTM visitor center to begin the daily operation.

This video footage was taken on October 17, 2008 to show the original ride on the National Capital Trolley Museum railroad which was built in 1969 by group of volunteers. The part of this railroad will be rearranged due to highway construction in 2009. The visitor center and the car barns will be relocated as well. .... more
